James started Ranheim Law Office PLLC nearly fifteen years after being admitted to practice law. Prior to starting his own firm, James worked with law firms in Minnesota and North Dakota. He is an experienced trial lawyer defending clients in construction defect and water intrusion, products liability, personal injury, automobile law, as well as advising clients regarding insurance coverage issues.

James primarily represents declarants, developers, general contractors, construction managers, product manufacturers, and various subcontractors in multi-party construction defect and water intrusion litigation. He has successfully represented clients in trials, arbitrations, and mediations for single-family, multi-family, manufactured and mobile homes, as well as complex commercial building cases.

James enjoys spending time with his wife, Suanne, daughter, Mya, and their dog, Leo. They enjoy spending time in the great outdoors and volunteering for many local charities.
