James Ranheim
James J. Ranheim

James started Ranheim Law and ADR Services PLLC after twenty-plus years of practicing law. Prior to starting his new firm, James worked with law firms in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. He is an experienced trial lawyer defending clients in construction defect, products liability, personal injury, automobile cases, as well as advising clients regarding insurance coverage issues.

James primarily represents declarants, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, construction managers, and various product manufacturers, in multi-party construction defect and water intrusion litigation. He has successfully represented clients in trials, arbitrations, and mediations for single-family, multi-family, and manufactured homes, as well as complex commercial building cases.

James also represents his corporate and construction clients for all of their general counsel needs including contract review, payment disputes, liens, defect responses, and other injury claims.

Finally, James is applying his twenty years of experience by assisting parties, companies, and/or their attorneys in resolving matters through alternative dispute resolution (ADR), neutral evaluations, and other dispute resolution processes.

James enjoys spending time with his family and their dog. They enjoy spending time in the great outdoors and volunteering for many local charities.
